Browsing the internet in my bed this morning I stumble upon this collection by Heal.
This first collection of theirs has everything for me; structure, softness, wearability, extraordinary.
A really divine play on the kooky with the crab claws and wings, but it doesn't seem at all costumey.
Their website is really cute too, go onto their collections page and the tiny models will be moving back and forth like little critters on the beach to the music in the background.

"Heal, like Hervé and Alice, the four hands laboratory to which we owe this first collection.
They talk about a knowledge we've lost, the organic material. But they also talk about the desire of finery, carapace, protection, reinterpreted in a playful way.
Therefore this collection doesn't look down on the sculptural bas-relief printed on incredibly light and flowing fabrics... Always with this contrast of feelings between the structured side of the print and the arachnidan softness of the fabrics: knit, silk, cashmere, sometimes in opposition to more technical fabrics from the sportswear universe. Contrast of the sophisticated and the casual, for the day and for the evening, still with the usual easiness required. A hybrid collection like this print of a giant crawfish which seems to embrace a woman's size between its claws. Like it would leave an invisible scar."

New shoes from Burberry

I just found this one image when looking through the behind the scenes Emma Watson photoshoot for Burberry, aren't they beautiful? I am excited! They look so raw and edgy more like Ann Demeulemeester than Burberry.

And just to say, I really wasn't sure when I found out that she was to front the new Burberry campaign but now I have seen the images she is absolutely the right choice.. I might even love her a little bit.


PS - I am in the process of putting my teams notes and illustrations of Graduate Fashion week up, I'm sorry it's taking longer than expected. I had such an awesome time there, the shows were amazing and I feel really inspired. I wish I had another term to make another mini collection!

Jessica Mills

I'm so sorry these have taken so long to be published! Even after finally being able to see them I've had to screen grab all of them so they are not all nice and big shiny quality. It's definitely worth the wait though with one of the most beautiful fashion shoots I've ever seen.

Jessica Mills goes to UWE, Bristol and will be showing in Graduate Fashion Week on the Tuesday.

For those of you who haven't read my previous post, this photoshoot was done at 4 in the morning on Clevedon pier, it was insanely cold and coated heavily in a thick fog, it made for perfect shooting conditions.
