The different textures of black

For my latest project at uni I started out with the intention of making a really colourful collection, I've never done this in the past and wasn't sure why, but as I tried with this collection the colour started getting less and less as I liked it less and less and it started to accent key pieces rather than being full on rainbow.
It's not, at least I hope its not, because i'm turning into one of those "chic" fashion snobs that dresses all in black, i've realised that what really interests me in fashion is textures. Texture and detail is far more important to me than vibrant colour.
There's something much more beautiful to me about an outift all in black but with lots of different knits, leathers and wovens.
Here are some peices i've been drooling over after 'finding myself'...

HANNAH MARSHALL dress on sale at amelieboutique.com

Martin Margiela waistcoat on eBay

Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Ann Demeulemeester

Anyway, enough texture porn! I could do this all day. I love eye candy, as i'm sure you all do too!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long, as I mentioned briefly I've been making a mini collection, it's been completely insane and I've loved every minute. All the madness is over now and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. I will be blogging insanely over the next couple of weeks as i'll be at Graduate Fashion Week reviewing all the collections to bring back to this blog.
So excited!
