Held in the Alison Jacques gallery off Berners St Thomas Tait presented his third collection. In cocoon silhouettes we saw the evolution of his his AW11 coats in lightweight paper like material. The garments were so rich in texture; by pleating jersey and layering clear print and coloured foil he created not only his own fabric but a new way to look at colour. In mint greens, baby pinks and blues we saw contrasting in welt pockets and zips against the white. Fluorescent light shone from underneath the gallery seats bringing out new colours as well as the highlighter up the models hands and bodies. Totally obsessed with the Cutler and Gross collab, insanely cool eyewear. I actually saw Thomas wearing them outside the Louise Gray show too!
Although you can see some of the texture up close in these photos I think my 50mm lens was a bad choice. You can get some better full lengths from the finale video below.
