SUMMER HEAT

Wearing: Acne shirt and shorts, Ann Demeulemeester shoes, Backstage cuff and Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses
Enjoying taking a few days off with my brother visiting in London last week; dressing a little bit better in the heavy heat. I'm looking forward to picking up some more platform sandals in the sales (saying my CĂ©line prayers as we speak!). Spent all day at the beach yesterday in North Devon, it was surprisingly hot and sunny; I had the most amazing swim with the surf blasting away the London cobwebs, that is until we had to run and rescue the bags from the incoming tide!

Whats keeping me warm this winter

Walking past this ridiculously large ad in the window of United Colours of Benetton today made me feel so warm and snug, even in the icey cold blast that was coming at me down the high street. Besides the fact that I love this picture, (it's so cute and colourful!), it got me thinking, I have always disliked knitwear. I always found it grannyish and not chic enough, but it sure takes a cold winter to change your mind! I absolutely love it now, can't get enough of it, want to layer up ten jumpers and cardigans at once!

Swedish designer Sandra Backlund's collection from 2007

Rai Thomas, Winner of the Pringle of Scotland Visionary Knitwear Award
(and I said knitwear couldn't be chic!)

and more obvious designers to look at, D&G and Giles Deacon

Aren't they all the cutest? I just want to wrap up now! It feels so good embracing winter.

Last Day Of Milan Fashion Week

I loved loved LOVED the Versace Spring/Summer 2009 collection, it was fresh and glamorous, my favourite from Donatella so far I think, she's done Gianni proud.

Beautiful prints flowing from dresses, sculptural hearts popping out everywhere and those kick ass metallics, oooh! All the models looked so fresh faced and beautiful too, such classic looks.

I like the unusual choice of colour for these dresses
Is it just me or are hearts appearing everywhere recently?

Also from Milan, Dolce and Gabbana, pyjama party!

I actually quite liked this collection, I loved the choice of silk even though the dresses were quite sculptural, it made everything look so soft and wearable, even if you are just lounging around in bed?
