BEHIND THE SCENES WITH BENGT

Last weekend Bengt invited me along to be a fly on the wall during the SS12 and AW12 shoot. There were so many things to feast my eyes upon, I'm always keen to see what goes on on the other side and it was fun watching the Bengt girls style the looks together, whilst Lou Lou strutted back and forth in the insane platform Finsk shoes! 

I'm so excited to announce that key pieces from my SS12 collection are available to buy on Bengt as of today, along with the other beautiful accessories you see accompanying the collection! The AW12 pieces you see snippets of will be available from September. I can't wait to see you guys rocking the pieces! I'll have to finally make some for myself too - crazy that I haven't done that yet.

A SEED CAN'T HELP BUT RISE UP

The work of Egle Cekanaviciute, found whilst stumbling through another new discovery drkmttr blog - a must go to for interior inspiration, Egle's 6 piece collection focuses on the idea that the human species are powerless against nature. Basic minimal silhouettes have been created out of materials such as potato sacks or tailoring canvas, and distorted to make room for the growing plants that have seeded in amongst the fabric. The whole idea is beautiful and poignant, I've been thinking a lot about nature recently and this marries my two loves of nature and fashion beautifully.

ANN-SOFIE BACK AW11

Ann-Sofie Back AW11 is exactly what I want to be wearing this SS11.

I was so happy to be able to see the collection up close at the A.I. PR press day. The gold accessories on all the pieces just made the collection, as well as the intriguing dyeing techniques used on the skirt pictured above. Totally in love from beginning to end.
