TWENTY YEARS

The most incredible editorial of recent times; to celebrate 20 years of Dazed & Confused, Riccardo Tisci has teamed up with Matthew Stone and Katy England to create this special ed, featuring some Givenchy favourites; I'm completely awestruck by the beauty of it.

I remember having a grow your own crystals set when I was a child; I'm getting the urge to flip through the Argos catalogue and see if there's something similar around today. I still don't know how those J.W. Anderson shoes escaped my magpie radar. You can buy them online now but they will set you back a little under two grand. I'm almost tempted to make my own, as soon as I track down that set..

Featuring Daniel Radcliffe

Danel Radcliffe constantly pushes himself to new levels, because of his role in the Harry Potter films he's always trying something new and daring. I really admire this about Daniel, he is always on the next level when we are still behind.

DAZED & CONFUSED retrospective

Super excited this morning when I read a post over at The Clothes Whisperer, saying that Dazed and Confused will be selling back issues (dating back to 1995!) at the Material Gallery in Carnaby Street, London.
Free vintage/ back issue with every current mag purchase, how can you turn that down?

Wandering Hands

Laura Mackness graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2009. She has already made quite a name for herself with her bold use of colour and pop referencing prints. Now she has teemed up with Swedish label Weekday to produce a collection that sees her signature wandering hands and face prints transported into very wearable and down to earth pieces.

Backstage at Ann D

Ann Demeulemeester's A/W 2010 collection definitely had a decadent feel about it, it took place at the usual Couvent des Cordelier, where the mood was dark and rainy. The colour palette was black, white, light grey and skin tones with the usual Ann D staple pieces such as skinny leather cargo pants, long wool suit jackets and sharp army boots.

Here is a snippet of the interview from Dazed
Ann: "I started with a fantasy in my head - I was trying to make a character of my own. It’s a modern day Duke for 2010. His extravagant personality and artistic nobility led to the collection.
My duke has edge and extravagance, he’s strange and not like everybody else."

Another stunning collection, seeing the collection more up close and personal is such a delight.
I really love all the fur thats surfaced in the menswear this season. Bring in fur for men!
