SHOREDITCH IN THE SNOW

 Weird creepy hand series. I don't know what's going on, maybe it froze in mid air.. and then switched to the other one further down. Anyway, after shooting the fashion film this weekend in sub zero temperatures the snow started to fall on Saturday night, leaving east London under a clean white blanket. These shoes probably weren't the most practical choice for getting around, but the heels did kind of act like picks in the snow. Fashion over function always!

Lunch at La Bouche on Broadway Market, with my girls Kit and Alexxsia. I'm happy to be wrapping up for the cold finally, even happier that Jen found these long lost Topshop trousers behind my sofa! How I've missed them; they're perfect for keeping warm. Since getting a fearsome cold last week, I've been living in this Jigsaw jumper too, it's warm enough to wear as a jacket and I love the drape in the sides.

The weather in London is perfect at the moment, the sun's shining but it's cold enough to wrap up in my new winter wardrobe. Wearing my new Persol sunglasses, absolutely in love with the pattern in the acetate, resembling oil and water! I'll do a detail shot some time for you all to see the yumminess. 

GIVENCHY PRE FALL 2011

 

When I first saw this collection my jaw dropped. Nicole Phelps was right in saying that pre-fall used to be a collection of basics, but not anymore. It's as if Riccardo Tisci has created another ready to wear for those of us who just can't wait until February.

The collection was shot using three of his current favourite runway models - Lea T, Saskia de Brauw, and Izabel Goulart - and shot on an actual street. I was so sure this was a set.

The colour palette is exactly what I want to be wearing this winter, as well as bringing in the camel tones and reinventing them into beiges and dusky pinks.

The layering is genius; thigh high laced boots under a chiffon maxi skirt (something I feel I will definitely have to do myself), bomber jackets and parkas layered over expensive looking ball gowns, and exposing thighs through selective layering. 

This could be my favourite Givenchy collection to date.

So happy with this cashmere MaxMara coat found charity shopping in Kensington last weekend, it's so cold in London right now; I'll be living in this classic warm winter coat.

BURBERRY A/W 2010

The coats and jackets in this collection blew my mind! I didn't think much of the garments under them, some good trousers and shoes, but THE JACKETS! Such incredible variation. I must own one of these! somehow, one day I might stumble across one in a second hand store? Or get richer sooner.

I really adored the furs/leathers. I wish they had done more. The colour in the middle bottom is beautiful.

Of course the aviator type jackets were jaw dropping. I love how big and warm they look! Belts, olive green and sheep skin; the perfect winter coat.
