I missed the live show stream yesterday afternoon but was happy to find it was still available to view online this morning. If you haven't watched the video, DO SO NOW. It looks more incredible when you can see the way the fabric moves.
I honestly fell in love with it straight away. There have been some very mixed reviews but I think this collection is Wang's best yet. The minimalism, sharp tailoring (the shapes in those lapels!) contrasting with the drape, the styling - those nose rings, paint in the hair and shoes that I can see everyone wearing, oh and the straps across the backs! Alexander Wang is fast turning into the Helmut Lang of this decade.
Every woman is going to want to own a piece of this collection and make it her own, Wang is one of the very few designers who can have this said about him.
