RED LACE

Wearing: Craig Lawrence knitted top, Charlie May shirt, Ann Demeulemeester trousers, Erdem shoes
Heres a few snapshots of my Christmas day outfit, I hope you all had an amazing last couple of days! I've certainly eaten more than my weight in food, and I've been so happy to be down in the countryside with my family. Wearing some new additions to my wardrobe; the beautiful Erdem boots from my favourite season, scored at the Nicholas Kirkwood sample sale (a Christmas present to myself) and a beautiful knitted tee from Craig Lawrence

CRAIG LAWRENCE SS12

Craig Lawrence's SS12 collection featured layering of evening dresses and box pleat skirts, sweetie bra's  and loose knit jumpers all in pastel and metallic yarn. The presentation was very craftmanship focused, with a man reading out how every outfit was made replacing the usually heavy beat of the catwalk. It was very serene and allowed you time to really appreciate what you were seeing. It was through this I learned that Swarovski crystals were embedded into the strands of yarn for particular garments that glistened as they moved. The styling was obviously incredible, I don't know how or who made the headpieces, but they were the perfect finishing touch.

***Thank you anonymous commenter (who says they're all bad?) The headpieces are by Steven Doherty made from Alacantara fabric with Swarovski elements.***

CRAIG LAWRENCE PRESENTATION SS 2011

Craig Lawrence Presentation SS 2011 London
As I said before with Louise Gray some designers are more suited to a presentation than a catwalk and Craig Lawrence's presentation was jaw droppingly beautiful.
The models slowly sauntered around the room whilst the video styled by Katie Shillingford played on screen, looking as if they were other worldly beings.
Craig's beautiful creations, inspired by a Sirens call, look like they are more suited to an underwater environment, his fine knits shrinking and expanding as the models moved around the room.
Craig Lawrence has won the British Fashion Council NEWGEN awards four seasons running and has previously worked for designer Gareth Pugh.
My favourite outfit is the final one pictured, the pieces look delicate but Craig has used fine wire in the knitting process, making the dresses heavy and giving them an alien drape.

Tilda Swinton in another editorial

My favourite editorial this year, maybe even ever.
Another Magazine
Photographer: Craig McDean
Stylist: Panos Yiapanis
16th edition, Spring/Summer 2009
This special issue features British designers: Mark Fast, Louise Goldin, Mary Katrantzou, Craig Lawrence, Peter Pilotto.
And of course Tilda Swinton looking so incredible!
I think this ed is even more special to me as I found out that this how Panos and Louise met, and they are such a perfect design/style duo.
The way the outfits have been styled is so beautiful, I love clothes being styled upside down, wrong way round. Layering up pieces to make the silhouettes look longer and more dramatic.
