MENSWEAR ROUND UP - AW11

Raf Simons
Mugler
(PS I may love Zombie Boy)
Damir Doma
Alexander McQueen
Ann Demeulemeester
Henrik Vibskov
Jil Sander
Givenchy
Lanvin
Trends: Pops of colour, mainly in yellow and red; Wide legged trousers; shiny patent fabrics; and structured tailoring, especially in large statement coats.
The menswear this season has been exceptional so far, the trends emerging are really fresh and pushing the boundaries enough to excite, I've already heard men asking how they are going to work a pair of wide legged trousers into their wardrobe.

LANVIN FOR H&M "THE HAUTE COUTURE SHOW"

I wasn't entirely convinced by the H&M Lanvin collaboration at first; Lanvin is all about luxury and I felt that when silk was swapped for polyester it wasn't going to work.
However, I had the chance to go to the press day; the garments up front were super cute, the tulle was a really nice touch; it felt expensive and looked so glamourous everywhere! The embellished tshirts were really lovely and the fur coats, amazing!
(I'm starting to wonder why I even doubted it in the first place).
This video of the "Haute Couture" catwalk show held in New York City at The Pierre Hotel, showcases how easily one can modify the pieces to create a truly one off piece.
"When we talk about mass production, about fast fashion; that its all very generic, we want to show them that its not generic you can make it personal, you can make it your own." - Alber Elbaz
I love Anna on the runway, she looks so divine!

The Lanvin for H&M collection hits the shops today so hurry before there is nothing left!

Lanvin

Lanvin presents us with beautiful structured coats, the finest lace and big statement jewellery.
Very Lanvin, and very beautiful.
Adored the styling of black fringed wigs too, very chic!
