BENGT X NAILPOP PART I

Featuring Moxham patent clutches, taba cuff and E.A Burns necklaces on BENGT, nails by Nail POP.
Whilst shooting behind the scenes for Bengt, I had the chance to get involved myself with Bel on hand for some nail art. I was like a child in a candy store, she had so many colours, gems and even a real shed snakeskin for a very real snakeprint manicure! How could I resist? First off I got this leopard split nail that went particularly beautifully with a fluro Moxham clutch. All the items are available to buy on Bengt now and Bel from Nail Pop is free to come and fancify your nails! More to come from this later..

SKULLS AND TRINKETS

I discovered Kyle Hopkins through a meeting one day with Harriet from HPR, as we were chatting I started noticing the gold and silver pieces beside me, slowly trying them on Harriet started explaining to me all the stories behind each piece; lips cast from his first kiss, his sisters ear, fingerprint rings (you can have these done with your own print); it was clear that there's meaning behind Kyle's work. 'He casts imagination and enquiry, starting a story for someone else to finish. So when the jewel reaches its new owner, she just takes over the narative'. I think the silver pieces are my favourite, especially the signat rings shown here, and the fingerprint rings which for some reason aren't here! Currently, you can buy Kyle's pieces on Kabiri.

LUNCH WITH MARIA NILSDOTTER

Last week, I was invited for lunch at Dean St Townhouse with Maria Nilsdotter to view the new and growing collection; I was happy to hear that Maria isn't seasonal so much as just keeps adding to the collection, so you can always go back and purchase a favourite, which is perfect as her pieces are the things you want to wear time and time again.
The new collection, featuring feathers, masks and delicate twigs, was inspired by a swan princess who desperately wants to be human and so is hiding a piece of her. Maria's story telling comes across so vividly with every new collection, born in Sweden, the stories originate from swedish folklore and childhood tales.
I had such a wonderful time meeting the lady behind the label, I can't wait to grow my jewellery collection over time with these beautiful pieces. Thank you so much to Maria and Varg for the invite and great company, as well as Dean St Townhouse for having us!
You can find Maria Nilsdotter accessories at Shop at Bluebird and Browns Focus.

BREAKFAST ON COLUMBIA ROAD

It was clear that Spring was on it's way yesterday on Columbia Road, all the flowers were out and blooming despite the cold rainy day it was in reality. Alexxsia and I headed down, following the delicious smells of coffee and cakes at Lily Vanilli but it was so rammed we settled in the little oyster place down the road, nestled in the corner beside a victorian heater, could have easily stayed there all day. The new jewellery I've been living in is from Back Stage, they sell all kinds of awesome stuff; the bangle I'm wearing is actually an anklet which I'll be looking forward to wearing with bare legs in the summer. I hear a heat wave is on it's way, so fingers crossed for that! Also the pony cuff I was pioneering on Facebook yesterday will be making its way onto the blog sooon. Hope you all had a good weekend!

RESORT

No, I'm not in some tropical paradise, just enjoying the harsh winter sun without being outside in chilly London. Wearing leather cowboy-esque hat from Acne Resort 2011, scored at the last stock sale, and recent addition, chunky bracelet by a new favourite jewellery designer, Moxham

MAWI SAMPLE SALE

So excited that it's sample sale season again! This is definitely not one i'll be missing, there's a serious Mawi gap in my accessories drawer. I've also heard through the grapevine that Alexander McQueen is having one off Clerkenwell, starting on the 23rd Nov, good luck everyone!

SILVER AND GOLD

Items: Collar - Unknown, half cuff - Helmut Lang, claw ring - Dominic Jones.
Some of my favourite items of jewellery lately. Anything that's minimal and gold is perfect for me right now. I had a bit of a bust up trying to go to a Dominic Jones sample sale last week, an incorrect map and phone being low on battery led me to the dodgy ends of East London for an hour before I gave up and came home again. Hopefully I'll get my hands on some more soon, but for now this is more than what I need.

GOLD COLLAR

Wearing: Gold collar, M&S sleeveless shirt, A.F. Vandevorst skirt, Acne shoes
Yesterday Lex came home with an amazing surprise for me - this gold collar! The designer is unknown, which is a shame, but it's perfect and just what I've been looking for. My heart has been set since seeing this gold collar by Stella Mccartney on vanilla scented. THE perfect accessory right now. If anyone recognises this collar please let me know, it has no markings or anything so I have no idea who it's by.
