WAISTCOATAPHOBIA

Wearing: Haider Ackermann waistcoat, Acne tank, skirt made by me, Alexander Wang brogues, Miu Miu sunglasses, Helmut Lang cuff, Dominic Jones beetle ring
I've had this waistcoat in my wardrobe for well over a year, whilst I love the minimal design, I've been finding it tricky to wear and it's only so far seen the light of day once. I think I feel this way about all waistcoats; they are quite dressy and almost feel like an unnecessary addition to an outfit. I finally triumphed yesterday, by wearing this piece with a simple sheer tank and plain skirt. Yay to not being a waistcoataphobe anymore!
Thanks Jen for the photos!

SHIVER ME TIMBERS

Wearing: Haider Ackermann waistcoat, Topshop shirt, Rachel Barret shorts, Ann Demeulemeester triple lace boots
Wearing some of my favourite Antwerp purchases; it was hard not to feel piratey with Alexxsia singing the Pirates of the Caribbean theme tune all the way through shooting... so here's a dedication

CONTRAST

Wearing: Haider Ackermann waistcoat/jacket, Ann Demeulemeester blazer, vintage velvet jacket underneath, Jil Sander trousers, Dr Marten petrol shoes
I didn't dress at all appropriately when I went to Antwerp last week, every time I've been before it's been sunny and warm, strangely. It was rainy and windy and horrible! No wonder I came back with two new coats. This Haider beaut was picked up at the stock sales, perfect for my layering obsession and doubles up as a blanket for the ferry home. I am literally wearing three jackets in this picture and I was still freezing. Lesson learned. I'm off to Belgium again today to check out over 70 designers at the Modo Parcours. I will be taking my laptop to the hotel so you should see some more posts from me tonight, in the meantime follow me on twitter.
Thank you to Jackie for the pics!

RECUPERATION

Wearing: Ann Demeulemeester jacket, Helmut Lang knit, Charlie May crop top, Haider Ackermann trousers, Acne shoes and American Apparel clutch.
Another picture pinched from the Vogue Italia site taken from the 4th day. There was a distinct lack of outfit posts during London Fashion Week so I'm trying to pick up the pieces now. Now, I am off to Devon for some much needed recuperation, see you all soon!

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

Erin Wasson in the latest French ELLE, I love every version of this dress by Haider Ackermann. Does anyone know of any other editorials this has been used in?

DUSKY

Wearing: Jacket, top and shoes are all Ann Demeulemeester, trousers by Haider Ackermann, sunglasses by RayBan
More pictures from the day spent in Bath, hitting up the spa for my birthday. I kind of feel like all the good the spa did has been undone since getting back to London life; the eucalyptus and mint steam room is my happy place right now.

PIGMENT

Wearing: Ann Demeulemeester jacket, chiffon top and shoes, Haider Ackermann waistcoat and trousers, American Apparel clutch, minx nails.
The first waistcoat i've ever really owned, bought again from the Antwerp stocksales (am I boring you yet?). I'm trying to figure out how to wear it on it's own, maybe I'm not used to it but it looks odd as a top layer. Of course it looks beautiful under this white Ann D jacket. Maybe I'm just too into layering and need to be more minimal. I'm obsessed with wide legged trousers at the moment too, and these Haider's are the perfect size, colour and fabric.

THE BEST JACKET IN THE WORLD

Haider Ackermann AW11
Haider and I have begun a dangerous love affair that I fear will leave my heart broken.

THIS IS HOW I WANT TO LOOK TODAY

Haider Ackermann SS11
Haider knows exactly how to inject colour into an outfit, the final outfit is probably something I would more realistically wear, but who cares about real? All the straps across the stomach are super sexy whilst the bits of the body left exposed are quite unusual.

CURATED BY HAIDER ACKERMANN

A MAGAZINE curated by HAIDER ACKERMANN

I remember my dear friend Amy bringing this mag back from Antwerp when she did a placement with Ann Demeulemeester (Haider is in the same building as Ann), and I recently discovered there's a whole website of magazines curated by other inspiring designers such as Yamamoto, Margiela and Kris Van Assche under the name of A MAGAZINE curated by.
