FOUR EYES

Recently I've been searching for an update on my specs, obviously they didn't have these in any of the opticians I've been searching in but it didn't stop me fantasising none the less. 'The Panther Collection' is from Givenchy's latest masterpiece (A/W 11) and retails at around £350 a pair.
Me likey.

DOMINIC JONES AW11

Certainly a new direction from Dominic Jones, I'm intrigued to see what the entire collection looks like. These photos were snapped at the Liberty press day and I didn't get a chance to ask how much of the collection they had actually bought. The giant earrings and necklace are my fave whilst the small drop earrings hardly look Dominic at all.

THE DIOR MODELS OFF DUTY

Dior always has the best make up hands down, so glamourous and flattering for a woman. These models stood out like diamonds in rust.
The commotion outside Dior was nuts, on the other hand I managed to get more street style shots in one hour than a whole week at LFW. Despite the frantic nature of it all Paris Fashion Week is a dream come true.

ISSEY MIYAKE AW11

The Issey Miyake show was quite a performance; origami paper structures were transformed into garments in front of our eyes, followed by more evolved pieces in various fabrics and weights.
For me, it was like being back at uni being taught in our first year that the best way to experiment with shapes and silhouettes it's to begin with paper.
What I particularly liked was that the collections fabric had depth, made even more apparent by the geometric prints in various popping colours. You know when you look at an Issey garment up close the detail of the weave and threads of the fabric will be beautiful.
I loved the dip dyed tights (I smell a DIY project coming on) and the styling was slick, with white paint arrows on the left side of the head hair sculpted into a ponytail.
What a perfect start to my Paris Fashion Week.
