SUSHI DATES IN SOHO

Sitting here editing these photos has made me so hungry! Last week Lexxi introduced me to Ukai Sushi; just down the road from her work, she goes regularly for a bite and was the perfect partner to order all the best dishes on the menu.
It all looked so good and we sat there hungrily eyeing up everyone else's dishes, until we decided to go for a mix of sushi and hot plates, washed down with some miso soup and a bottle of their sweet homemade Sake! The sushi was out of this world and I'm pretty sure I'm hooked, next time I'm in central I'll be heading back here to catch Lex on one of her impromptu lunches!

A NEW STANDARD OF ACCESSORY

This week I discovered new London based accessories label, KITE. Specialising in leather, their designs are minimal and clean with a strong focus on texture and material - a label after my own heart, I'm sure you know.
Kite was founded by designers Sally Kite and Grace Eden who between them have worked for Meadham Kirchoff, Halston and Marios Schwab, and despite only being around for one season, are already stocked at Shine in Hong Kong, and Darkroom. The edgy design of the mohawk clutches strike me as something I'd be gawking at walking around somerset house at fashion week or on the street; whilst the wallets and card holders are keeping it clean and classic in beautiful python and pony leathers.
What can I say, other than I need to get my hands on all of it?

YARDSALE

This time next week I'll be scooping up my bags and heading over to Susie's yard! I'm moving house.. today, so have been scrupulously sifting through my wardrobe, trying to narrow it down to pieces that I actually wear.
I seem to love collecting hats, despite the fact that I never really wear them! I'll be selling my ACNE leather cowboy hat seen here, and my Jaeger trucker hat, because hats should not just be decorative objects, they should be loved too! I think we're planning on having food, drink and even live music; so come to the yard, even just to hang out for the festival vibes. See you next week!

ROSE RAIN

Wearing: Muriee knit, Complex Geometries skirt, Ann Demeulemeester boots, spiked ring and bracelet by Maria Francesca Pepe
Another rainy summer Sunday spent hiding in coffee shop, with much needed caffeine in hand, wearing my new favourite rose gold accessories and triple lace boots. I don't mind the moody weather so much if it means I get to wear my favourite boots, all year round; - just not accompanied with an umbrella, a winter coat, sunglasses, and a bikini! Schizophrenic London, I still love you anyway.

ZONING OUT

I really love the mood that comes off of these pictures, so peaceful; which is exactly how I felt relaxing at the Agua Spa. I was beyond excited to hear that they were treating me to a complimentary massage as a little birthday present, beyond nice! I always love going to the Sanderson, whether it's for midnight cocktails or afternoon tea, the atmosphere and crowd are always spot on. So to try out a new area, was really very special! Thank you Agua for giving me some much needed, me time.

TURNING TWENTY FOUR

Some pictures rounding up my birthday last Wednesday; breakfast at the Breakfast Club with family and friends (I've just discovered their bacon and banana french toast - totally addicted!), followed by drinks in the sunshine overlooking London, some pampering in the afternoon before, dinner with some of my closest friends Alexxsia, Michael, Kit, Jackie, Alistair and Jade. Lexxi surprised me with my favourite cake in the whole world; a red velvet from the Hummingbird bakery! Happiness is that cake, followed closely by being sung happy birthday to on the piano at the end of the night! It was the best day ever and I have all my friends to thank for that.
Excited to be going back to Devon tomorrow for the week, hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday weekend!

STYLEMAKERS

A couple of weeks ago I attended the London launch of the Jimmy Choo, Choo 24:7 website; it's an interactive site where you upload your own streetstyle pics, allowing them to be linked and edited by Choo until they are ready for viewers to shop the look.
The beautiful video above is what I really want to talk about. Caroline Issa is the perfect face to represent London for the style makers project, the video with Mr Newton is so chic, I can't even stand it. I love that she's wearing all her own clothes, with only the accessories provided. I think a part of me always felt that Jimmy Choo was too feminine for me, they're weren't my ultimate go to shoe brand but actually, noticing Caroline wearing them over the last year or so has made me realise that they are totally rock and roll. I fell totally in love with the shoes pictured above, sadly they didn't make it home with me, but as least I had my little Choo cake to comfort me!

24 HOUR PARIS

My 24 hour Paris trip with Farfetch was filled with excitement - we'd gone for The Playlist event in the evening which left us a day to explore the city. After we'd checked in to our hotel, Le General, we headed out in our car for the day (now I know how good those fashion editors have it); first we stopped of at L'eclaireur for some fantasy shopping and then afternoon tea at the Ritz! Unfortunately no photos were aloud inside except for some sneaky Instagrams, which was a shame but I get that it's probably better for everyone else not to have my fat DSLR sticking in their face. The rain was pretty terrible whilst we were there, we sat eating our afternoon tea and the buckets of water being thrown off the Ritz canopy was quite mesmerising to watch! After this it was time to get back in the car and head back to the hotel for LadurĂ©e macaroon time. The next day we had time for breakfast and then it was back to Gare du Nord where I was headed back to London and straight to the Sanderson for an Alice in Wonderland themed afternoon tea, where I was more than welcome to take pictures. What a perfect end to the perfect trip!
Thank you to the Farfetch team for such a wonderfully organised adventure and to Alex and Karen for the fun company!
P.S. - Can we please talk about the pills for breakfast at the hotel? I can't think of anything more 'fashion'; there we have a perfectly normal breakfast buffet and then on the end little jars and spoons of pills to make you happy, younger, more beautiful. I wonder if this is the future?
